We need to strengthen our team during the summer period and are now looking for you who are studying in a forestry or logistics program and are interested in gaining practical experience over the summer.

Regardless of which summer job you apply for with us, we offer an educational, fun, and free work environment where you can test your theoretical knowledge in practice. You will have a lot of responsibility, but you will always have access to guidance from experienced colleagues. Your interest in forestry, nature, and meeting other people is central in all areas. Södra has a wide geographical spread, and we are looking for summer substitutes for our entire operational area. The positions we are looking for summer workers for are:

Forestry Advisor Your tasks may include follow-up work, logging planning, updating forest management plans, and advising our forest owners. Depending on your level of education, you may have different tasks, but our starting point is that you will get to try various tasks.

Field Enumerator Your tasks as a field enumerator will largely consist of fieldwork, where the focus is on locating and inventorying results. You will have contact with several different positions such as forestry leaders, advisors, and production leaders. The role of a field enumerator is a unique opportunity to practice coaching and collaboration with contractors and machine operators.

Forest Owner Support Your tasks in Forest Owner Support involve answering questions related to forestry and membership in Södra. The support team receives inquiries via phone and email from our members and acts as an extended arm to the field organization. A mix of administration, problem-solving, and meeting with forest owners.

Transport Leader Your tasks will involve maintaining a continuous dialogue with both external and internal partners to ensure smooth and efficient logistics. This includes close cooperation with our hauliers and receiving locations, as well as with production leaders and advisors at Södra.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are studying a program in forestry or logistics, or you have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way. Regardless of which summer job you apply for, the work requires a genuine interest in forestry operations, the ability to work independently, take initiative, and enjoy close collaboration with others. It is also important that you can communicate clearly and enjoy meeting other people in a business relationship. For all positions, a driver's license and access to your own car are required. For the advisor and field enumerator positions, you need to be able to navigate freely in forests and fields on your own.

The placement will be at one of Södra's offices, depending on the type of summer job. Below is a map of our operational area.
